The city is one of the most dazzling subjects in the history of photography. With the exhibition Street. Life. Photography Kunst Haus Wien presents icons of street photography from seven decades. With more than 35 photographic positions and over 200 works by Merry Alpern, Diane Arbus, Robert Frank, Lee Friedlander, Martin Parr, Peter Funch and more, the exhibition deals with the radical changes and aesthetic developments in street photography from the 1930s to the present.

The exhibition is organized by Haus der Photographie / Deichtorhallen Hamburg in cooperation with KUNST HAUS WIEN, with works from the F.C. Gundlach Collection, Hamburg, and others. The show has been curated by Sabine Schnakenberg (Deichtorhallen Hamburg); conceptual adaptation for its presentation in Vienna by Verena Kaspar-Eisert (KUNST HAUS WIEN).
